We had a great surprise last night when Wes came home from a week out in the field in Digby... They are installing 20 huge wind turbines out there and as usual Wes and crew were the first on site... He was pretty tired but very happy to be home a day early!
It was sunny and warm so we got up and out to Crystal Crescent!
The gates are open now and the parking area was full yet still it felt like we had the place to ourselves! It is a great beach that way... Lots of little spots between the rocks to carve out a little place of your own to hang out...
Lots of wonderful things to spot on the rocks and in the water...
She was collecting sea plants with each new wave...
Dylan was loving the sand... and Wes was bringin' back the old days with this sand creation...How many hours as a kid did I sit on the beach making these sand castles? Many. Many.
There is something about the ocean that always brings me home again...
The smell of the salt air... the sound of the waves... Feeling connected to everything...
It will always ground me!
I truly do love it!
Have a wonderful weekend!

oh, yes, the ocean! nothing clears your mind and refreshes your soul like a day at by the sea.
Yes...the ocean is the best tonic. Lately i keep singing the song with the lyric "I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean". Standing at the shore never fails to ground me.
